Prerequisites: A1 Goal: A2 At this level the learner can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance – e.g. personal and family information, shopping, work, immediate environment; can communicate in routine situations of information exchange on familiar and routine matters; can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, education, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Topics:
cooking and eating; school and types of schools; modern media; special occasions and invitations; world of work; means of traffic; learning and presentations; sports and leisure activities; accommodation; music and art; time; stereotypes

Linguistic Goals:
to introduce oneself and others; to understanding information about others; to talk about emotions/ habits/ likes/ advantages and disadvantages; to express one’s opinion/ wishes; to give advice; to complaint about something; to apologies; to talk about pictures/ films; to write an invitation; to describe the way

Structural Goals:
reflexive verbs - to talk about actions which exclusively refer to the subject; declination and comparison of adjectives - to compare people and objects; the superlative - to denote the highest degree of a feature/quality/characteristic of people and objects; prepositions with dative/ accusative for adverbials of place and time - to indicate place and time of an action; causal/ conditional/ temporal connectors and connectors of purpose - to express various semantic relations between the clauses of a sentence; relative clauses - to give more information about a person or object; second subjunctive - to voice suggestions/ requests/ desires
