This seminar is introducing discourses on sex and gender thus discussing transformation processes in society.

This seminar addresses lives of women and female connoted biographies in  past and present. Selected examples show the attributions of different times. Critical questions on apparently well-known regimes build a focus. Eugenie Goldstern's biografie will serve as an empirical example. Based on the theoretical approaches of social and cultural scientists, like Judith Butler, the seminar deals with sex and gender role models representing te conditions of postmodern societies. Considering sexism will be a topic as well as the "woman/man" binary code, for instance embodied by Conchita Wurst.
