The typ of text 'letter' is analysed in time, in its function, in concurrence of increasing number of other mediums. We will use different perspectives, exmine the language upper class persons and low class persons used, the kind of hand writing or machine typing used, content, syntax, influence of varieties, traces of oral use of language
Love letters, war letters, business letters, ...
Do letters still exist? Online? Chats? Was the language used transformed, adapted or were 'letters' absorbed by the new medias?
