Students gain knoweldge about nutrition, different forms of nutrition and the development of food plants referring to our living environment.
Students achieve the competence to apply their acquired knowledge in topics of current discussions referring to nutrition and climate change. They are able to estimate the discussion in a critical way, they are able to take part in the discussion and get involved competently.
- Plants - basic knowledge: anatomy, photosynthesis, habitats, adaptions
- Plants - ingredients: using the example of medical, poisonous and psychoactive plants and Superfood
- Plants and insects particulary wild bees and butterflies: interactions; strategies of plant defense
- food plants: top 10
- development of food plants in the alpine area (Tyrol)
- food plants in our nutrition: different forms of nutrition and various methods of agriculture and interaction with environment and climate
Presentations, Methods of Inquiry based learning, Hand`s On, Discussions.
Written exam (selected topic), oral examination.
