Teaches students critical examination, understanding and categorization of art considering the original.

Using major works from all genres, the history of art in Vienna from the High Middle Ages to the present day will be examined in exemplary fashion. In addition, keynote speeches on exhibition and research events will provide insights into the city's current art discourse.

This lecture requires continuous assessment based on active participation and written and oral exams/ presentations on location.
