Knowledge of the legal basis and general conditions of the pre-scientific work as well as the tasks and responsibilities of a supervisor within the framework of the standardised competence-oriented diploma or maturity examination (SRDP) (3-pillar model, modular structure of the SRDP, etc.); knowledge of the specialist literature on pre-scientific work; experience in creating and using various analytical instruments (guidelines), especially in the subject area of history and civic education, in order to be able to evaluate and assess a pre-scientific work; experience in correcting, assessing and awarding a VWA in the school context as well as in the context of specialist award ceremonies.

Legal basis, structure and organisation of the standardised competence-oriented diploma or maturity examination (SRDP); the significance of the pre-scientific work within the framework of the SRDP (framework conditions, timetable, deadlines, etc.); tasks and duties of a supervising teacher with regard to pre-scientific work in general and for the subject area History and Political Education in particular. Reading and discussion of specialist literature on the VWA; use of various online platforms for pre-scientific work. Getting to know, working on and applying various assessment and evaluation threads in order to be able to grade a VWA and assess and award prizes in the context of subject awards. Work in a correction workshop and write an expert opinion within the framework of subject award ceremonies in the field of humanities and cultural studies or in the field of history and political education.

Lecture, reading, presentation and discussion of specialised literature, corrections workshop, presentations, reflection.

Classes with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions, development of a criteria catalogue for assessing VWAs (oral presentation, handout), seminar paper (expert opinion on the corrected VWA, justification of the assessment of the VWA).
