Students are able to systematically relate to in-depth topics, theories and traditions to discourses of human rights, intersectionality, postcolonialism, Anthropocene etc. They are able to explain selected terms, principles and objectives of peace and conflict studies, especially in the context of humanities, social and cultural science disciplines, and to reflect and characterize significant aspects, such as gender relations, discrimination and racism, global inequality, in depth. They know the possibilities and limitations of digital teaching and learning environments, also with regard to accessibility and inclusive digitalization.

Discussion of selected terms, principles and objectives of peace and conflict research in the context of disciplines in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies.

Participation, seminar reading, writing and presenting assignments: Students will be given academic and short texts to read and review. They will be given short writing assignments to complete in relation to the course contents and readings.They will need to make in-person presentations of their work.
