Fungi depend on the environment, as all organisms do. They interact on different ways with theyr environment, and shape it in an impressive way. The understanding of the function of fungi in our environment is promoted based on selected examples.

The function  of fungi in different habitats and under different environmental conditions is the main topic. Dissemination strategies of fungi are also considered.
