Understanding methods and findings of cognitive neuroscience research, with a specific focus on the behavioural and physiological studies of consious and unconscious cognitive processes. Insights into useful applications of these methods in the context of cognitive aging.

We will  investigate conscious and unconscious processes underlying cognitive processes, such as attention, memory and emotions. We will study how to measure these processes using behavioural and physiological measures (most importantly those that can be acquired with so-called ‚eyetracking cameras’, so eye movements and pupil dilations). We will also try to identify useful applications for these measures in the context of cognitive aging. The general content will be given but individual personalization of research questions are possible.

Reading and presenting research articles, summarizing together our insights from the literature work.

Writing the research proposal, participation during the seminar, presentation in the seminar, short written summary of presentation in seminar.
