The students engage intensively with the subject area of financial education and are able to apply the content in a target group-oriented manner in the planning and design of teaching/learning arrangements. Furthermore, the students are capable of critically analysing educational measures in the area of financial education and assessing them in terms of sustainability aspects.

• Clarification of the term and relevance of financial education with a focus on the school context.
• Financial management in the private sector, particularly earning and spending income (consumption/saving), saving and investing money (risk, return, liquidity), credit and debt, opportunity costs of financial decisions, the value of money, and inflation.
• Tax literacy as a subfield of financial education.
• Engagement with methods for conveying financial education content and critical reflection.
• Sustainability in financial education.
