Acquisition of knowledge on the different forms of historic display and the skills to present historic relations on site and to deconstruct display formats.

The excursion is divided into two parts. It will take us once to the Lower Engadine and the Swiss National Park and once to East Tyrol and the Hohe Tauern National Park. We will also take a look at the Stilfserjoch/Stelvio National Park, which will give us a closer look at three Alpine national parks in three countries. We will look at the history of these and other national parks and ask about similarities and differences and about connections and demarcations. In doing so, we will also look at the transnational history of nature conservation and nationhood.

Local guided tours, presentations of the course instructor as well as of the students.
