The student is able to model industrial processes such as prehistoric copper smelting and firing of ceramics from a phase petrological standpoint as well as thermodynamically using appropriate software packages (FactSage, DOMINO-THERIAK).
Overview over prehistoric materials (metals, slags, ceramics) as well as prehistoric industrial processes (ceramic firing, copper smelting). Thermodynamic basis, introduction to the thermodynamic software packages (FactSage, DOMINO-THERIAK).
