A graphic novel usually refers to a more comprehensive pictorial story, often also called a comic novel. Similar to comics, it can make you smile, but it doesn't have to. We are interested in both – comics and graphic novels – especially when they deal with history.
What historical content has been selected and how is it presented? Who is the target audience and what does the way it is presented say about the society in question?
