They can independently and reflectively formulate an architectural concept, connect it with the discourse and implement it on different scales. They have specific methodological knowledge and skills for the integration of aesthetic, functional, programmatic, urban, typological, technical and environmental aspects.

Imparting methods of analysis and synthesis within a design task; Understanding of the interactions of design and its urban, socio-cultural or discursive context.

Theme: HYBRID CITIES

The aim of the course is to acquire specific knowledge of the fundamental organizational and formal principles of urban design [Phase 01], both during the course and through self-study. This knowledge should be gained at the beginning of the semester through various readings and further deepened by working on plans and 3D models. During the semester, this foundational knowledge will be applied in a new design hybrid.
In the later part of the first semester, methods for the formal and organizational hybridization of individual sections of different cities will be developed [Phase 02]. The previously acquired knowledge will be applied and reinterpreted. As the project progresses, technical skills will be enhanced and further developed.
The final result should be a hybrid of different cities, where the characteristics and forms of the two original sections merge, creating new qualities.

Course examination according to § 6, statute section on "study-law regulations".

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
