Upon successfully completing the seminar, students will be able to (i. a.)
- define the term “trust” in the context of the pedagogical field of the school;
- explain the relevance of trust-based relationships between teachers and students from professional-theoretical perspectives;
- critically discuss the relevance, possibilities, and limitations of such relationships within the educational field of secondary school; and
- explore, analyze, and evaluate the perspectives of teachers and students on the necessity and possibilities of building trust-based relationships in class.
In addition, the seminar offers opportunities to broaden personal and social skills.
Focus on "trust"
Based on inquiry-based teaching and learning approaches, students engage with questions about the relevance of trusting relationships between teachers and students in secondary education from the perspective of professionalization theories and how teachers may build such relationships with students.
Readings, (deliberative) dialogue, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
Contribution to the dialogue and learning community (individual focus possible based on an assessment catalogue), seminar paper, and presentation.
