VU Introduction to Research on Mountain Regions: Geomorphology

The course will focus on different mountain geomorphic drivers (e.g. landslides, glaciers, etc.) through different approaches and at different spatial and temporal scales.
Firstly, an overview of the process and the existing dating and detection techniques will be provided. Then, the process will be simulated through different computer modeling frameworks and practical applications.
While no prior coding experience is required, the students will be helped to familiarize themselves with the programming languages R and C#.
