Master's Programme Earth Sciences according to the curriculum 2007 (120 ECTS-Credits, 4 semesters)
* Es sind Wahlmodule im Umfang von insgesamt 80 ECTS-AP wie folgt zu absolvieren. 1. Es kann eine Vertiefung (30 ECTS-AP) und es können weitere Module im Umfang von 50 ECTS-AP aus dem gesamten Wahlmodulbereich gewählt werden. Mögliche Vertiefungen sind a. Alpine Geologie (Wahlmodule 1 bis 6) b. Quartärgeologie und Angewandte Geologie (Wahlmodule 7 bis 12) c. Petrologie und Geochemie (Wahlmodule 13 bis 18) d. Materialien und Ressourcen (Wahlmodule 13, sowie 19 bis 22) 2. Wird keine Vertiefung gemäß § 7 Abs. 2 Z 1 gewählt, sind Wahlmodule im Umfang von insgesamt 80 ECTS-AP aus dem gesamten Wahlmodulbereich zu wählen. 3. Anstelle des Wahlmoduls 35 "Interdisziplinäre Kompetenzen" und der Individuellen Schwerpunktsetzung kann ein Wahlpaket für Masterstudien (30 ECTS-AP) nach Maßgabe freier Plätze absolviert werden. Wahlpakete sind festgelegte Module aus anderen Fachdisziplinen im Umfang von 30 ECTS-AP; sie werden im Mitteilungsblatt der Universität Innsbruck verlautbart.

Learning Outcome: The students have knowledge of practical geology and can solve engineering geological and geotechnical problems.

Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: After the successful completion of this module, students possess advanced knowledge and skills beyond their subject-specific competences which empower them to pursue independent scientific activities and help them succeed in their future careers.
Courses, as defined in the dissertation agreement, equal to 5 ECTS-Credits have to be completed. One course may be chosen from the field of "Equality and Gender".
