Dear students,
with regards to the current situation concerning the spread of COVID-19, the rectorate decided - in coordination with the responsible Tyrolean authorities and the other Tyrolean universities as well as in consultation with the Federal Ministry - on the following measure:
From now on, all courses at the Universität Innsbruck will be switched to distance learning courses.
This means beginning with March 10, no lectures will take place on the university premises anymore, but will be as far as possible carried out by using digital means.
Teachers will receive more detailed information on how this can be implemented in practice.
Course participants will then be informed accordingly.
In any case, it should be ensured that, despite this measure, teaching continues as smooth as possible. Students will definitely not be at a disadvantage for their course of study.
This measure is intended to prevent the spread of the virus, which is why it is requested that students only visit the university premises for specific occasions.
University staff can come to their office as usual, taking into account the previously communicated recommendations and precautionary measures.
This measure applies until further notice. We will continue to evaluate the situation daily and inform you accordingly.
These are challenging times for all of us, which we can only meet together. We therefore ask everyone to constructively implement this measure with us and for everyone.
Thank you very much and best regards,
Tilmann Märk
