winter semester 2023/2024 | Last update: 05.10.2023 | Place course on memo listStudents should be sensitized to the recognition and assessment of psychological vulnerabilities and the presence of mental illness and be enabled to derive first helpful interventions on the basis of behavioral therapy models and techniques.
In the seminar the terms therapy, consultation and Coaching are to be clarified and delimited to each other. In addition, an overview of the basics of behavior-oriented approaches will be given and introduced to standard methods of behavior therapy and approaches to counseling of mentally ill people. For this purpose, selected mental disorders will be presented in more detail with the help of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) and corresponding behavioral therapy models of disorders will be taught - but also critically examined.
