The students complete an independently written BA thesis on a limited topic from the field of education or educational science that meets the requirements of scientific practice. They apply appropriate research methods and have researched relevant literature.

The focus of this seminar is to accompany the developmental process of a BA thesis with a length of approx. 60 pages. The questions of the BA theses ideally refer to the thematic area „education [Bildung] and politics“ (e.g.: political education, social inequality and education, education and social movements, economization of education, [critical] education theory, critical theory, prevention of extremism).
At the beginning of the seminar, students should already have a rough idea regarding the questions and contents of the BA thesis.

Impulses from the course instructor, peer feedback in teams, presentation of BA exposés, joint discussion, personal monitoring of the writing process (including feedback);

Examination is made up of: attendance, preparation and presentation of an exposé, participation in the discussion regarding the drafts of the colleagues in the seminar, submission of text samples, bachelor thesis.

It is a requirement for participation to attend the first date of the course.
