Goal: A2+

At this level a more active participation in conversations is possible, though some restrictions in communicative ability still remain and support by the other person is sometimes necessary; e.g. the learner can start/ keep going/ end a conversation on limited, familiar matters; he/she can deal with routine information in everyday situations, but still cannot fully realize his/her communicative intention and has to search for words. In addition, the ability of sustained monologue is better developed, e.g. the learner can express in simple words how he/she feels and can talk about aspects of his/her life in detail, e.g. about people, places, job experience or education.

movies; journeys and trips; feelings and moods; weather forecast; birthday and holidays; presents and souvenirs; bank and post office; daily routine; health and sports; Croatian towns, regions and national parks

Linguistic Goals:
to express times and dates (seasons, months, dates and time); to talk about past and current events; to talk about films; to plan journeys and trips; to express feelings and moods; to describe the weather; to buy something; to talk about options; to give reason for something; to write a greeting card; to carry out service exchanges at the bank/post office (to exchange money, to buy stamps, to send a package, etc.); to describe the daily routine; to talk about health and sports

Structural Goals:
word order in a sentence; present perfect tense and future tense of verbs (affirmative, negative and interrogative form) – to form statements and questions in the past and the future; reflexive verbs (present tense, present perfect tense and future tense); irregular verbs: “pisate”, “slati”, “baviti se” “boljeti” etc.; imperative of verbs (affirmative and negative form) – to make requests; additional meanings of the genitive (share, ownership, quality; with the verbs “imati” and “nemati”); consonant followed by feminine substantives; comparison of adjectives (comparative and superlative) – to compare people and objects; reflexive pronouns “sebe”/”se”; reflexive possessive pronoun “svoj” – to give information on possession; relative pronouns “koji” and “ciji” – to form complex sentences; numbers
