At this level the learner can introduce themselves and others, answer questions about personal details - e.g. where they live, where they come from; he/she can communicate in a basic way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is disposed to help.

family and friends; shopping; leisure time and hobbies; eating and drinking; in a restaurant

Linguistic Goals:
to get to know and introduce each other; to ask and give information about origin/ nationality/ place of living/ address/ job; to ask for a favour; to give information about quantity, prices and age; to order in a restaurant; to thank someone

Structural Goals:
declension of nouns; conjugation of verbs (present tense); personal pronouns – to refer to people and objects; possessive pronouns – to indicate possession; cardinal numbers – to indicate quantity, price and age; the verb “to go”; numeral
