Learning outcomes according to the module handbook

The students....

- are able to structure a given research question and develop a project plan to address it,

- are able to find the relevant scientific literature and familiarise themselves with it,

- are able to access secondary statistical sources (or conduct their own surveys) and prepare and analyse the data professionally,

- are able to interpret the results in a professional context and derive recommendations for action,

- can present the results to interested practitioners clearly and correctly.

One or more companies are analysed with regard to a business management topic. The results are presented to the stakeholders and discussed with them.

Students acquire the necessary skills by

- the application of the business management know-how acquired so far (in particular "Strategic Corporate Management" "Internal Accounting" and "Entrepreneurship and Business Creation")

- literature-related and empirical research (division of labour)

- Writing a project report;

- Presentation and discussion of the results

Knowledge is gained through systematic research of the literature on the topic (adventure summer tourism in the mountains) and a competitive analysis of comparable productions. In addition, guided interviews ("problem-centred interviews") with content analysis can be carried out.

The didactics assume a high degree of independence on the part of the participants (2 SWS for 6 ECTS). There will be introductions to the topic, clear work assignments, feedback on the work assignments and stand-by counselling by the course leader. Students will work in teams with practitioners and tourism managers and, if necessary, collect, analyse and present data under the guidance of the course leader.

There is a limit of 16 participants ("1st come - 1st serve").

Staging a target group-orientated mountain experience ("story") using partly staged, partly natural photo points;
