Sommersemester 2015 | Stand: 05.03.2015 | LV auf Merkliste setzenStudents will learn or enhance drawing skills and gain a greater appreciation of art within the historical and physical setting of Innsbruck in the Austrian alps.
FA 3595 Academic Year Abroad: Special Topics in Fine Arts. This course is only offered through UNO’s Academic Year Abroad (AYA) in Innsbruck, Austria and can be repeated once for credit.
This course combines practical drawing kills with an appreciation of European art history. Europe offers a spectacular venue for a drawing class, with its many unique natural and urban settings, as well as opportunities for first-hand observation of centuries of European art and architecture, such as tracing Albrecht Dürer in Innsbruck. The course takes full advantage of the surroundings and provides you the opportunity to record your European experience using basic materials such as pen, pencil and sketch pad, along with photographs and other elements such as ticket stubs, postcards, and other memorabilia.
Students will be required to develop a portfolio of their work during the course of the semester for evaluation. Attendance is required. Two excused absences will be allowed without penalty.
Evaluation criteria include active participation, engagement in field observations and the personal portfolio.
This course is open to all University of Innsbruck students.
Registration till March 15th 2015.
