They are familiar with various modern methods and understand the importance of stability and error analysis. They can apply this knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to current problems related to the material covered.
Topics include numerical integration, stability and condition, interpolation and approximation, linear systems of equations, iterative solvers, nonlinear systems of equations, ordinary differential equations, and structure preservation, among others.
Lecture and individual projects.
Final oral examination and written work (project and presentation).
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
Basic knowledge of calculus, linear algebra and programming.
