Re-envisage the history of organization theory, the central role of power, and its institutionalization and non-institutionalization in the discipline Provide a systematic account of power as a relational and institutional phenomenon Engage with the state of insecurity, and its implications for power and organization, characterizing the combatants in the “War against Terror”

The seminar focuses on „Power and Organizations“. Part one of the seminar consists in an introduction to Foucauldian analytics of power (Weiskopf). Part 2 of the seminar will go into contemporary theorizing of organizational power (Clegg).

Das Seminar wird in deutscher und englischer Sprache abgehalten. Voraussetzung für die Seminarteilnahme in ein Dissertationsthema im Bereich Management und/oder Organisation. Weitere Voraussetzung ist die intensiver Vorbereitung bzw. Lekture der Literatur vor den Seminarterminen sowie Anwesenheit in der Vorbesprechung.
