The lecture will focus on concepts and theories of communication. It starts with classical sender-receiver model of communication, continues with the pragmatics of human communication (Watzlawick), discusses the notion of commuicative action (Habermas), als well as the contextual factors that influenence communication (Goffman, Foucault). The notion of (transformative) dialogue provides the link to conflict and conflict resolution.
