Sommersemester 2018 | Stand: 03.04.2018 | LV auf Merkliste setzenAfter successfully finishing this course you should: have acquired sound knowledge of methodological approaches and issues in business administration and management research; be able to understand and critically evaluate the impact of ontological and epistemological choices on research design; and be capable of taking a reasoned decision regarding your own methodological position in doing your PhD research.
Introduction to methodology and its ontological and epistemological foundations;
methodological implications of four representative approaches in business research: critical rationalism, social constructivism, critical realism, and governmentality studies;
assessing impact of methodological choices on participants' dissertation projects.
Lectures with discussion; student presentations; in-class group work and discussion; reviewing student papers.
Written assignments; term paper
