The course offers an overview of the current practice of financial reporting and management control. Some of the questions addressed in the course are: How do we assess the financial performance of companies and other businesses, as well as that of their parts (divisions, business units)? What are the key reporting regulations that shape the reporting of financial performance? How do firms establish financial plans and how do they use them? How can performance measurement systems be designed so as to reflect strategic priorities and objectives? What is the role of the Finance Function within an organization more generally?
