This module seeks to introduce students to the manner in which organisations can fail. In particular, the module is concerned with the processes by which crises can be incubated within organisations as a function of routine management functions and processes. The module examines some the of themain limitations of the management process and assesses the role that “normal” management can have on the incubation of crisis potential within organisations.

This course provides the opportunity for delegates to gain an understanding of the nature of crisis management and to examine the key related areas of risk assessment, human factors and organisational turn around. Throughout the module, the strategic and operational implications of crisis management will be explored.

Blended Learning Course !!! Lectures will consist of a range of teaching and learning approaches including: formal presentations, discussion of papers and cases studies and group discussions as well as self-directed study.
