The seminar course deepens the topics discussed in the lecture “International Management: International Finance” in two ways. First, we will discuss academic literature that investigates some of the topics we discuss in greater detail. Second, we will analyze case studies that show how international strategy and investment plays out in concrete scenarios.

Same as in the lecture course, we will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to international finance and country risk
• International capital budgeting
• International currency markets and hedging
• Real options, joint ventures, and international M&A
• Project finance

This class is highly interactive. Students will present research papers and suggested solutions to case studies. We will discuss these materials in the context of the input we covered in the VO class.
