The course will cover the roots and doctrine of Zen Buddhism first with the Buddha himself and in China then its transfer to Japan after the Mongolian conquest of China . In the same way Sufism will be investigated from its first appearance in the Islamic world in the 8th century onward. The next part of the course is the two mystical schools will be compared to find and establish the common key philosophical concepts.
