There are clear indications that learning content and language in an integrated way will become increasingly important in the classrooms of the future. This course aims to give an overview of the possibilities and state of the art of teaching a subject through the medium of English. The course will include a view of CLIL practices, an introduction to established CLIL methodologies and to language acquisition theories, which are useful to CLIL. There will be opportunities to apply methodologies to materials from different subject areas, to devise model lesson plans and to reflect upon their effectiveness.
