Students who are new to the English Department at the University of Innsbruck, in particular international students, will get support in navigating the system and the requirements for successful study.

We know that many international students at first find it hard to get an overview of the knowledge and skills they need in order to be a successful student in a new environment. The course offers support on questions such as: how to plan your schedule and register for courses; what is important to be a successful participant of different course types; how to prepare for different types of exams; how to navigate the library; what kind of extracurricular activities are available at the department etc. There will be room for individual questions and time to exchange experiences. There will also be the opportunity to interact with international students who are already more familiar with the system.
