This course is specifically designed for students who intend to specialize in the field of American Studies with an M.A. thesis. We will discuss current methodological trends in literary, cultural, and film studies, work through general research, composition, and presentation techniques, as well as analyze academic text types, including book reviews, review essays, publishable essays, conference papers, and project applications.
Students are expected to give a short presentation of their work in progress (M.A. theses).
