Lesson Planning: topic-oriented teaching modules
PS 2

English
In this proseminar students will develop topic-oriented teaching modules consisting of different sorts of texts (non-fictional, fictional, persuasive, poems, songs, pictures, video clips, etc.) with different skills and methodological approaches in view, aiming at curriculum implementation. We want to learn how to create teaching modules which stimulate and motivate high school students so that they may experience this “Lust am Lernen” which PISA found so lacking amongst students. It won’t make you a perfect teacher yet, but it should put you in a position to reflect on what you are doing and what you want to achieve once you are a teacher standing in the classroom.
You will develop a teaching module of your own and present it to the other participants of the proseminar. In class you will get a number of smaller assignments from session to session. Your active participation is highly appreciated.
