To create a deeper understanding of the interconnectivity of English time, tense, aspect, modality and function in a contrastive English - German context.

Various materials to ensure that students have a thorough grasp on the correlation between time, tense, aspect, modality and function in English. Materials will include error correction and analysis especially concentating on typical mistakes that German speakers make, editing texts, use of (authentic) texts to indicate timeline and changes in meaning, translation (German to English), written and oral work to illustrate a specific grammar point, voice/ context situations etc.

A variety of methods suited to various learner types. Group work, VLE (OLAT) online work, class discussion etc
