• to explore cultural interdisciplinarity in Britain since 1945 • to focus on a range of cultural representations (novel, drama, poetry, film, art, architecture, music, etc.) • to develop effective study competence, syntactic flexibility and textual coherence/ cohesion
Social and cultural context (1945 to present), language in culture, newspapers, magazines, journalism, literature (novel, short story, poetry), theatre (drama, musical, opera), cinema and film, tv and radio, sport, art and architecture, music (modern classical, popular), etc.
A series of worksheets with questions, tasks and activities to complete in advance of each session. Guided and focussed discussion based on such worksheets.
