Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture.
The Memoria of the Dead manifests itself in the tomb. Accordingly, its forms and development are closely linked to theological, liturgical, social and cultural historical conditions. Based on exemplary works, the genre will be examined from late antiquity to the 15th century and analysis criteria for historical evaluation will be drawn from the historical comparison.
Presentations and discussions, written work.
This course is assessed via continuous assessment and attendance is compulsory.
