 Developing a basic understanding and specific advanced knowledge of the lecture’s topic

On the occasion of the death of Hieronymus Bosch 500 years ago several exhibitions and international symposia take place in the year 2016. The lecture will take up the results of these meetings and wants to communicate to the students the latest results of the Bosch-research and its problems. The focus is not only on the interpretation, attribution and dating of the highly controversial works, but also on the Bosch-research itself.
