627018 Social and Emotional Learning in the Bilingual Classroom
Sommersemester 2015 | Stand: 19.05.2015 | LV auf Merkliste setzenStudents acquire basic knowledge in social and emotional learning for the bilingual classroom, they actively try out tasks and reflect the content taught.
The course refers to emotional intelligence, active listening and communicating, getting to know one’s own feelings, be aware of the distinction between feeling and acting out, acknowledge and appreciate oneself and the others, cooperate in finding solutions, be responsible, see mistakes as opportunities for learning and cope with change. The course offers also teaching material to be used in the bilingual classroom.
Individual, partner and group work, co-teaching by a school expert and a subject didactics expert
Planning of micro-teaching units related to the discussed fields, written reflections on the course contents with reference to possible implementation in the school context, short oral discussion

Eingangsmodul am "Innsbrucker Modell der Fremdsprachendidaktik".
This course can only be used as an optional course (Wahlfach) for students of English. Admission according to IMoF’s admission guidelines and analogous to IMoF Middle Module courses (for information, please consult the IMoF website: http://www.uibk.ac.at/imof/lehre.html).
