The students are able to use the relevant terminology correctly; they can describe typical change processes of the lexicon and meaning as well as outline the essentials of the most important semantic theories.

They are capable of writing a paper on a related topic and to present it.

Broad overview over different semantic theories; discussion of different levels of semantics; self-study of relevant semantical problem areas

Teacher’s introduction to the main topics; student presentation and written paper, repetition classes

Student presentation, written paper, exercises, final test

A bibliography is provided on the LMS.
