An in-depth module on the history of the late-mediaeval period with a focus on the Holy Roman Empire

The mechanisms of power are displayed through the presentation of the three most important dynasties present throughout the late-mediaeval period. The following questions will be dealt with in this context: How was the political system of the Holy Roman Empire structured and what were its functions and what was the role of the Royal power base. What was the role of the political elite? Finally it will be elicited in which regard the administrative structures must be considered the most important instrument for the allocation of the royalty within its contemporary society.
