Acquisition of skills for dealing with historic sources and studies critically, as well as the competence to present the newly-gained knowledge verbally and/or in writing; Acquisition of the competence to apply methods of auxiliary sciences.

Discussion and interpretation of selected audio-visual sources dealing with medicine, health and the body (feature films, series, instructional films, documentaries) based on secondary literature.

Course held in English.



Active participation, practical exercises, group work, discussions of central statements and of actual situations.

Compulsory attendance, students must: work actively in class, execute independently the practical exercises, and write a source critique (approx. 5 pages).
