Recognition of the interdependence between micro and macro perspectives and of the specific relevance of a small range view of history with its own particular issues and awareness opportunities.

Tourism has shaped the past 150 years, the economic, social and cultural life in the Alps. Even if this included the whole of the Alps, not all areas had got a benefit from this development. The course offers an overview of this development; is entered on the push and pull factors and provided on the basis of selected examples in-depth insights into this development.
