The students will get an overview for entrepreneur history in Austria. Specific questions and methods of the Austrian entrepreneur historical research will be discussed in select chapters.

Austria is regarded commonly as a country with no tradition of entrepreneurship. Where comes this opinion, and whether it is justified, is the subject of this lecture. Furthermore, an overview will be commanded to research entrepreneur history in Austria, drawn comparisons to entrepreneurs historical research of the surrounding countries, and trying to provide the Austrian entrepreneur history in a European context. Selected chapters are devoted to specific questions of historical research entrepreneurs: terms of entrepreneurs, business dynasties, women as entrepreneurs, ethnic and religious groups as entrepreneurs, business associations, entrepreneurs under National Socialism, entrepreneurs and lifestyles etc.

Lecture with consideration of collegiate feedback (discoursive reinforcements etc.).

Writen test at the end of the lession.

A litarature list will be given at the beginning of the lession
