Lesson Planning: Topic-Oriented Teaching Modules

In this proseminar students will develop topic-oriented teaching modules consisting of different sorts of texts (non-fictional, fictional, persuasive; poems, songs, pictures, video clips, etc.). There will be a particular emphasis on how to use a text within a thematic sequence of different texts for different skills and with different methodological approaches. The aim of the course is to make students competent in text use and to put them into a position to reflect on what they are doing and what they want to achieve once they are teachers standing in the classroom.

Participants will develop a teaching module of their own and present it to the other participants of the proseminar. In class participants get a number of smaller assignments from session to session. Their active participation is highly appreciated. (=that is the polite way of saying that it is required)
