Understanding the material covered and being able to apply it to the solution of relevant problems.

Detailed study of four exactly solvable partial differential equations: the linear transport equation, Laplace's equation, the heat equation, and the wave equation. Introduction to distributions. 

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 6, statute section on "study-law regulations"
