After successfully completing the module, students will understand current, complex algorithmic methods in the field of interactive systems. They will be able to solve relevant problems through the targeted use of these methods and develop similar content themselves. Students will understand key methods such as numerical calculations, optimization, computer-aided physics, and the fundamentals of control theory. They will be able to describe, classify, select, implement, and adapt these methods according to requirements.

In the first part numerical algorithms for solving differential equations are covered using different algorithms including solving of systems of equations. The second part covers numerical optimization. Learning tasks are split in longer programming assignments and weekly theoretical exercises.
