Graduates of this module will gain an in-depth understanding in areas of specialization in the domain of perception, interaction and robotics. They are able to deal with the areas creatively and methodically correctly, and to further their education independently. In particular, the ability to actively participate in scientific discourse is acquired.
Selected current publications are presented and discussed in the group. The focus is on active participation in the discourse as well as on critical examination of the contents. This serves in particular as preparation for the future writing of scientific papers, as well as the in-depth study of a specialization topic. Advanced topics in perception, interaction, and robotics are covered (e.g., Deep Reinforcement Learning, Representation Learning, Procedural Model Generation, Physically-Based Simulation).
Assessment based on regular oral contributions of the participants, as well as a final written report.
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".
Current scientific publications. Details will be discussed in the first session.
The seminar is suitable for Master students who want to deepen their knowledge in one of the specialization areas of the domain perception, interaction and robotics. Knowledge of the topics of the previous elective modules is expected.
The seminar is organized in the form of a "Reading Club". The focus is on the in-depth discussion of papers.
